<p>As I sit down to write my first lab report, I realize I have no idea what a good lab report should look like/include. I have the basic outline of course but other than that... Does anyone have any tips/help/examples?</p>

<p>One thing that really bugs me is that in lab reports at UCLA, you have to show the derivations for any non-obvious equations that you use in the lab report, especially if they involve calculus; this was the case for Physics 4AL/4BL.</p>
