You and two other partners work together during a physics lab. All three partners meet to develop a lab report. All three of partners pass in 3 of the same lab reports, is this cheating? Why or why not?

It depends on what instructions your teacher gave you.

Like MaineLonghorn said, it depends on the instructions.

If the teacher explicitly stated lab reports are to be completed separately, it is cheating.
If the teacher merely said each person must hand in a lab report, then I would infer that collaboration is acceptable and thus it is not cheating to work together. This is under the assumption it was actual collaboration, with all 3 individuals contributing equally - not one person doing the report and the other two copying.

If you are not sure, ask the teacher. They should not get angry at you for the question, and it’s better than finding out after the fact that you are wrong if you assume that handing in the same thing was OK.
