Hi, all. :) I have a few questions about LAC's:

1.) Are there any LAC's that are particularly well-suited to transfer students? Since many LAC's have close-knit communities, is it awkward for transfers (i.e. does it seem that most people have already made all their friends during freshman year or is there plenty of room for transfers to become part of the community)?

2.) What LAC's are known for having the best financial aid, especially for transfers? Are there any top LAC's that give merit aid to non-NMS students?

I'm most interested in LACs that are in or at least close to big cities. Sarah Lawrence, Barnard, Macalester, maybe Pitzer/Scripps/Pomona, et cetera...Any other suggestions here would be great too. :)

Oh, Sarah Lawrence, close to $60,000/year with following FA stats:
