LAC rescinded?

Hi, I'm a senior who had a bout of senioritis. I got into a great LAC, but I'm afraid I might get rescinded.

Right now I have 2Cs, with the danger of one C becoming a D. My Foreign Language is borderline right now, C-/D+, but we have a lot easy points coming so I should be able to raise it to a middle C (hopefully). I'm coming down from a 3.85 unweighted to about a 3.1(using the Cs to est.)

If I had 2 Cs, would I get rescinded? What if I had 1C & 1D?

No one here knows what your school will do - we don’t even know which school it is. If you’re afraid of a C going to a D, then figure out how you can spend more time making sure that your grades don’t fall.

Hit the books!! :)

We’ve had some threads on that before and IIRC two thirds of the colleges don’t even rescind one student. I think it’s reserved for students who don’t graduate HS or who get arrested. The admissions people are already working their butts off to deal with the HS class of 2011. There’s nothing in it for them to look at these transcripts too closely.

Well, I talked to the teacher today and there’s still ample opportunity to raise AP Jp to a C. I read a little deeper into my grades and asked both of the teachers about what’s coming up in the next month or so.

I should be able to raise the danger C in Jp AP to a stable C. And the other C, that’s in AP Calculus, I can probably raise it to a B! I don’t think getting a C in Jp AP will get me rescinded; I placed with a C last semester, but all my other courses were A’s. Now my projected scores are 4As, 2Cs.

I guess I really don’t have much to worry about, that I’m just getting antsy because my grade is so close to falling below passing… but I should be okay. Thanks for letting me know the stats, it helps. I’m not doing anything that will get me into trouble and I’ve already finished my graduation credits, so I don’t need to worry about getting arrested.

Oh, and the LAC is Bowdoin. Thanks for your help!
