I found several college confidential threads about the same topic but I wasn't sure if those data were accurate/updated.
I definitely will consider other factors when choosing the schools (location, activities etc) but I just wanted to know which LACs had good anthropology programs!
Thank you!

LACs whose alumni earned the most PhDs in anthropology from 2006-2010:

Reed … 17
Wesleyan … 17
Amherst … 14
Bryn Mawr … 11
Grinnell … 11
Vassar … 11
Beloit … 10

Keep in mind that anthropology is a diverse, interdisciplinary field, covering archaeology, biological anthropology, linguistics, social organization, and cultural practices. No department (especially a small one) can be equally strong in all these areas. So, browse the online course descriptions and faculty bios to find programs that spark your interest.

Good advice from tk. I have heard most about Beloit’s program, which has been very good for a very long time.

Thank you so much! :D
