What is the difference between LAC and normal college of i.e. harvard.
Is the eco departement worse of williams worse than that of harvard? If so, what is level of education comparing to other univeristies??
<p>Williams is one of the best liberal arts colleges in the country. There will be a major difference in the eco departments at each school because of the fact that Williams is much smaller and all classes will be taught by professors (no courses taught by TA's. Harvard may have a larger offering of classes.</p>

<p>I think sybbie doesnt know you as well as you do, so how the hell is he going to know which is a better college for you? Either college will get you a degree that can get you a job. Its just a matter of which offers the programs which are best suited for YOUR interests. This may come as a shock to you, but not all people have the same needs or interests in an education. <p>You will get int a good MBA program coming from either school if you have the grades and GMAT scores it back it up. On is the top university in the country the other is consistently ranked among the top 3 liberal arts colleges in the country (last year number 1, this year number 2 exchanging rankings with amherst and swarthmore) Both schools are a crap shoot for everyone as both reject validictorians and perfect scoring students.</p>
<p>It really depends on you:
size: LAC's are usually small, other schools are bigger
curriculum: LAC's concentrate more on liberal arts: english, history, languages, philosophy, etc. bigger schools are more into math and science and require less general education courses.
sports: bigger schools usually attract the more hardcore athletes, LAC's sports teams usually have players playing just for love of the game</p>
<p>These aren't always true though. It really depends on the school. And they're just some of the differences.</p>
