I am a new college student living in LA
LACC is really close to me compared to SMC or Valley College
i need advice if it is worth staying at LACC for shorter commute or got to smc which would be a hour or so commute.
and would i be able to transfer out of LACC because ive been hearing bad things.
Your input is much appreciated.

LACC advantage
Well you have an advantage of being in LA and attending the LA city college district schools. If you don’t like LACC, you have the option of going to ELAC, WLAC, Valley, Pierce, Trade-tech, mission, or LAHC (with me! =D). And you won’t have to go through the confusion on comparing classes.

SMC advantage
SMC is pretty cool. They are wealthier and want to be seen superior than other CCs. (they have their own page on itunes University)

Conclusion
In the end, they are both community colleges and are VERY close to each other (so you won’t have more consideration from UCLA, for example, if you choose one over the other). So if you do choose one over the other, it will not be because of academics, and mostly because of personal preference such as student body, location, etc.
