I'm a senior applying to engineering colleges of many top schools, but I don't seem to have major ECs that prove my interest and support my major (electrical or environmental engineering). Unfortunately, I missed out on internship opportunities and engineering competitions because I decided on engineering too late (like a few months ago). It's crazy how they expect you to know what you're going to do with your life from freshman year. But anyway, I do have some generic math and science ECs (Mu Alpha Theta, Sci Olympiad, one engineering award in freshman year) but nothing significant or impressive. Other than that, I feel that I'm pretty well-rounded in other areas. How badly will this lack of a particular EC affect my chances?

Any help is appreciated.
