Lack of green space?

I feel like this is something to consider. Sorry for being so broad but I'm trying to get some other opinions on this.

Central Park.

super like ^

You two have always lived in cities haven’t you? :)

Actually, I lived next to a forest for most of my life.

Im a native
there are a lot parks in the city
inwood (all the way uptown) if you want to hicking
Pelham bay park(deep bronx) its the biggest in the city, I think you can even camp there
Battery Park City is a nice walk south from NYU
also along the hudson there is alot green space with a paths for running
and there are tons more that scatter all over the place…you are bound to find one

I have camped in Pelham Bay Park, and it’s actually really cool. It’s seriously like living in the wilderness except you’re in the city. We go every summer lol

I miss green space so much. The other day I was helping my Bio TA water some plants, I wanted to hug them. I filled my dorm room with plants and flowers to get some “green” going on there. The only greens I’ve seen lately are in my salad :/

Central Park is awesome, but really really far (anything north of 14th is “uptown” haha). When I really miss nature, I go exploring there. The best part is the ramble, because it feels almost like wilderness.

Washington Sq also has some green space; the left side of the park is beautiful, and they’re fixing up the right side so there will be more lawns. I really don’t understand why so many locals are complaining about the park, I think it looks awesome.

If you’re a total nature-lover, don’t go to NYU because it might be a little depressing for you. Go to a lush campus in a warmer environment.
