Lack of motivation/super procrastinater here. Help?

Through the last few years, I've pretty much been extremely lazy and don't feel the need to do things as much as I used to. Because of that, I've gotten 89.8% in both Int. Algebra H and Geometry H in middle school (counted as HS credit) and my parents got pretty mad as now I can't get a 4.0. I'm also pretty mad at myself, but have gotten over it for the most part.

Now I'm a Freshman and everything counts more, but my brain doesn't seem to think in that way just yet. I get distracted very easily by the internet and my computer, so doing work like typing something up ends up taking longer than it should. I also just don't feel like doing my math homework when I get up and end up procrastinating a lot.

Any tips to break out of these habits and get concentrated? The laptop is my biggest distraction for HW related things, as I've gotten pretty much addicted to the internet in the last couple of years and have spent countless hours here, causing me to be somewhat socially awkward now :P. I also swim everyday and get home at 6:30 on Thursdays and Fridays. On Tuesdays I just have Knowledge Bowl after school and get home at 4:30. Mondays and Wednesdays are terrible, as I swim and after that head to the Debate Team meeting. I get home on those days at 8:00. I have to wake up at 5:30 :P

Any help would be appreciated, and sorry if there is already a thread like this here. I'm a new member here, but I have used this site to see chances for some people at certain colleges and such. Thanks :)

To me, I would say just to take a minute and think about what you really want out of life. When you sit down and allow yourself to realize what you want and what it takes to get there, I think you could realize what it takes and the sacrifice you need to make to get there. From there, it just takes dedication and discipline!

Maybe ask a family member to take the laptop while you do hw so you won’t be as compelled to get up and get distracted. Idk, just some ideas

That being said, I think everyone has points where they lose a little concentration and have to refocus, I know it happens to me, so you’re not alone. Good luck!
