Lack of science classes

I’m planning on going to dental school thus I want to go on the biology track. However I’m only taking ONE science related class which is chemistry. My other subjects are lab, journalism, philosophy and history. Is this terrible, am I behind?
Many of my friends doing bio are taking pre calc, bio, chem and another class.

What year of HS are in currently in? To prepare for a Biology major for college, you should take a Biology, Chemistry and Physics course during your HS career and I would not suggest on doubling up on any of the sciences.

It depends on the school and the teachers. My kid took two sciences in 10th grade and is taking three her senior year (seven total). She’d take all science and math if she could get away with it.

Agree it depends the school. My 3 graduated with 6 years of science each… Each had at least one year in biology, chemistry, and physics. My kids doubled up junior and senior year.

That being said, take a course load that you can manage even if your classmates are doing something different.

Im a college freshman.
