Lacking language classes - how bad is it?

So I am a junior and I have not yet taken any Spanish classes officially. Last year I was enrolled in one through an online program, but was accidentally removed through a glitch, and was only able to be put back in last month. I got lots of apologies from the virtual school people, but I am now a Junior with zero foreign languages. I decided to take a semester long Dual Enrollment Spanish 1 this semester, Spanish 2 over summer, and Spanish 3 first semester of senior year. Unfortunately, this means that I will be applying to ED/EA colleges with only 2 years of foreign language and RD with only 3 years. Disregarding the rest of my application, how much of a problem will this be? (I am reaching for some tippy top schools)

You will put your senior year course load on your application so colleges will see that you are taking Spanish III.

Right, thanks. Still though, that’s only 3 years of foreign language. Is this enough? Could my guidance counselor tell them what happened with my online class?

Looks like you have addressed the problem. You should be fine.

@jym626 Ok, thanks. Do you mean that colleges will understand my situation so they will understand why I only have three years of language?

Three years is fine.
