I’d reaaal, really like to be accepted at Bernard, but my critical reading score on the sat sucks pretty much(580), although my other two sections are pretty good(710W) and (680M). I’m an international student and I was hoping to explain my low score with a high TOEFL. is that an excuse? do I stand a chance?

Is the ACT offered where you live? Maybe try that... I think with other strong components of your app you could be okay, especially since your international and if you have a strong TOEFL score, but you may want to try to up that CR a little or take the ACT.

I just found out that I can take it somewhere in my country in december, but I;m not sure if the scores will arrive on time. i'll probably just apply regular with my 1980 and take the january test and send in late scores. will they even accept it?

Yeah you can take the january test. As long as you notify them that you're taking it eventually and give them an exact date. Also, you'll need to explain why you haven't taken it if you don't take it in time for your application.
