<p>You can’t if you don’t try. There are many colleges with intramural/club sports for players with little experience. I doubt you would be able to play on a varsity team, but you sometimes hear those stories of people who walked onto a team and became one of the best players.</p>

About lacrosse, walking into a team is hard in college unless you are like the best at your high school. But if you have the skills, might as well try out!
