Are there any good LACs to attend if you want to get into IBanking? Major universities are probably better for this career, but I hate big schools. Also, does IBanking require a MBA or does a BA in finance or economics suffice?

I'm sure the top LACs place very well in ibanking firms. I think Williams, Amherst, and the other top few place just as well as the ivies.

I would say most people pursuing that route get a B.A. in econ, but you could major in a wide range of things as long as you get good grades. From what I understand, people going into Ibanking work as analysts straight out of undergrad for 2 to 3 years before getting an MBA at a top business school. Then they become associates and, if successful, start their long trek up the corporate ladder.

I heard Wellesley(top 4 LAC) and Pomona(top 7 LAC) do well for Ibanking.
