<p>What kind of “artist”? Performing arts? Fine arts? Sculpture, painting, textiles, graphics, animation? Do you want to create art (say, studio arts, film production) or learn about it (art history, film)?</p>
<p>Dwincho, not an lac, but Suny Purchase is excellent in the arts. It has an enrollment of about 3,000 or so.</p>
