Ladder for lofted bed

Hello, I recently went to orientation and stayed in Sim’s. I absolutely loved it and I am very happy that they put me in McClintock. I wanted to loft my bed so that I could out my desk under it, but it is an absolute pain to climb from the back of the bed. It also didn’t feel too safe either. Does anyone have any recommendations for ladders that could fit onto the bed or do yall think that I am just being a wuss lol?

There are many cases where college students fell out of their bunk beds and seriously injured themselves. This happened most often when someone is drunk or very tired (many college students are). Aside from getting a ladder I would also get a side rail for the bed.

Newer beds in redone dorms like mcclintock come with rails you can put on bed. My D used hers when she was a freshman and lofted her bed - and yes she climbed up the end. Don’t have any recommendations for ladders but sure they must be out there. Google or call housing for recommendations.

My daughter lofted her bed in the honor’s dorm freshman year and there was a rail on the side of the bed and she was able to get a ladder for it as well.
