Andrassy: Well I guess it could... I mean... if the girl is taller, it is "esthetically questionable", the two of them just don't match...

13lueflame while i dont like my height, it doesnt bother me that much. Ive just been worried lately from experience that women dont like really short guys

and not necessarily if the girl is taller...ive seen 5'3" girls who wont go out with a guy unless hes 5'11

one of my good friends and his gf...sorta disproves that theory now doesnt it :)

i like that :) im just saying in general its annoying. am i totally wrong on this?

needless to say that most women I know like a guy thats taller than them...but 5'5 isnt too bad. That kid is 5'2 and his gf is 6'0 the height was an issue when they got together but if you like someone like that then...

Andrassy If I was shorter ( I'm 5'10) I'd go out with you cauz you seem to be a really nice guy. Don't give up on hope the right girl will come along...

haha thanks for the inspiration :)

My pleasure dear... ^^

I have the same problem. Granted i'm taller than him (5'6.5), it still is a problem finding a girl who doesnt mind a guy who isnt a 6' A&F model. Us jews are at such a disad.

good thing in the end we end up doing just fine :)

I wouldn't care if you're 5'5, Andrassy. Plus, I like that you have an opinion (and a good one) about soccer. But I am 5'4, so I don't know if that'll make a difference.

I usually don't mind if a guy's shorter than me, but those are rare. And if I'm dating a short guy (who's maybe 5'5), I won't wear heels that are more than an inch high. That's kind of annoying sometimes, but it is my decision.

well thank you...im glad to hear that my impression may be wrong

Ooh, I love these sort of threads because I love lists.

What makes a man yummy for me:
- speaks at least two languages, one of them English please
- very loyal
- not religious in the least, but willing to discuss other religions
- has traveled to many places
- well-educated
- taller than 5'7" (I'm 5'3")
- is devoted to family and whose parents are still together (because I'm OCD like that)
- someone funny/witty, but not raunchy
- is comfortable with himself but lives for improvement
- is generally happy and okay with being happy. I generally dislike extremely emo guys who put on a farce of teen angst and agony when a) they've never experienced any true loss, b) they're only sad for the pity and attention.

Effulgent, woo no bragging or anything but i meet at least 8 criteria from your list ;)

8 for me. I'm religious, but not radical, and i'm 5'6.5 :(

ability to grow a beard

haha...have a thing for hairy guys?

that's me.

I've never liked a guy shorter than me, but I'm on the shorter side myself, so even someone 5'5" is taller..

And I agree with Martha (as usual) and would like to add "wears Birkenstocks" to the list. :)

also, "reads for pleasure" and "decent taste in music" oh--and "smart ass"
