***!!?!?!?!?!

Has anyone seen the music video? Does anyone know *** is going on? Your thoughts?

The point is not to know.

you know that I love you boy, hot like Mexico

Its about homosexuality.

Haha…it’s definitley trippy. I don’t get why she is eating a rosery.

Something about being victimized by gangbangers…I think. Can anyone explain the religious subtext?

Just read the lyrics. Maybe cyclic abuse?

iamamartian- I think she’s eating a rosary as a way to show her disdain of the intolerance of others, like how some super religious people try to shove their religion upon you/down your throat, that’s what she’s doing, mocking how people shove religion down other’s throats by shoving a rosary down hers I think lol.

But I don’t get much of the rest of the video. Beforehand I heard the synopsis that it was going to be about how she wants a gay guy but he doesn’t want her, but the music video only ever so slightly gives a hint of that and the lyrics don’t match at all b/c she’s walking away from Alejandro, meaning that he wants her and wouldn’t be gay. Idk, it doesn’t make sense to me.

What were you guys expecting differently from this video after seeing telephone and bad romance? >_>

Lady Gaga is a freaking strange person and I could care less about her political/religious views.

I thought it was about her fear of commitment in all aspects of life (religion, relationships, etc.).

I think it’s kinda of mocking that policy of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,
you know, since all the guys are in uniforms.
Also, religion, like the conflict between the religious and the homosexuals. You kind of see how the guys are all throwing her around in her little christianity-symbolizing robe.
And honorstudent, that’s what i think the rosary symbolizes too.

also, the director said that he wanted to show the sadness of losing a lover. I don’t really see that in the video, except when they’re holding a coffin in the beginning.

I think that the rubber habit and the eating the Rosary was completely unnecessary and offensive.

Is there a reason why lady gaga has recently felt the need for her music videos to be obnoxiously long? It just makes the whole thing an obnoxious theatrical production and takes away from the music.

I haven’t seen it but my friend is nuts about it, he’s also a gay dude.

I can’t come up with a reason why she needs to make them EIGHT MINUTES LONG. I usually open up music videos on youtube to listen to the song rather than watch the video and especially if the video is 8 minutes long I won’t want to watch it more than once.

hm…actually i just searched for the “meaning of alejandro music video” on google just yesterday and found a suitable answer from the first link (from ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■).

egh. now the telephone music video, I really have no idea how that relates to the song at all.

I do agree, it is about homosexuality.

^^ The Telephone video is just supposed to be a continuation of the Paparazzi video. I guess she really wanted to finish the story and could find no other suitable way to do so. Hence why it has nothing to do with the actual song.

I watched it at school with some friends, but I’d heard it on the radio to and from school before. Me and my friends searched the meanings and apparently she is talking about being afraid of commitment thus using getting names mixed up for Alejandro such as Roberto, Fernardo. But I don’t see why those guys were almost naked and in heels dry humping… :(
