Lafayette admissions chances as an international?

I have been accepted by UT Dallas for the Engineering program, but still I am waiting for Lafayette as I’m really into it. I just don’t know if it worths the wait, so hope that someone here can help me.

Achievements:

  • SAT 1470, SAT Math II 800, SAT Physics 700, GPA 8.8-9.2/10 in Vietnam.
  • National, municipal, and school’s academic competition honors.
  • Rich extracurricular activities in many fields: robotics, engineering, environment, theater - drama, education, sports, music, etc. I am the leader of some sub-teams and of a small robot team, but not a founder or chairman of any organizations or clubs, so I guess my leadership is not exceptionally outstanding.

Annual contribution: ~15000$

Thank you in advance!

Anyone, please?

Nobody really can predict – admissions for international students needing significant aid is very competitive. I wish you the best and it is great that you have an acceptance (hopefully an affordable option) in hand already.

I say wait and see what the result from Lafayette is before you act on the offer from UT Dallas if you have time (deadline ?). Perhaps the financial viability of one is far better than the other. I’m sure it’s tough to wait though :slight_smile:

You have till may 1st to make a decision. When you do, don’t forget to post it on your thread(s) and to explain how you decided.

So…did you get in?

@RafidBD Sadly, no :\

I really like the school, but seems like it’s unrequited love :\ But Lafayette is on the top of my list, so it’s not really unpleasantly unexpectable.
