When I see stats like this, I just can’t get upset that my DC didn’t get any merit. Your DC sounds exceptional! Congrats!!

DD cried for two reasons… she loved the acceptance letter felt so seen. Mentally began her journey as a leopard in those moments. We were so excited and proud. Then saw zero aid and zero merit - shocked and sad because we can’t even begin to afford it … . :pensive:

We had the exact sentiments in our house! The acceptance letter was so personal and my S22 really felt “heard”, but the $0 merit is a no-go.

Does anyone know about the number of students who were waitlisted and how many were accepted off the list last year?

Google the Lafayette College common data set and check section B

Just closing the loop for anyone on WL, my DD has accepted her offer elsewhere. She was offered a Marquis Scholarship which also played into her decision because Lafayette affirmed that it would go to another deserving student. Best of luck to all!

PS. I will always have a soft spot because the Lafayette acceptance letter was unparalleled in terms of making my daughter feel like her application had been seen, appreciated and rewarded. It was such a personalized communication. Bravo to Lafayette admissions.

Did you ever find out if any ED kids received merit aid?
