Lafayette Class of 2014!

accepted + marquis… yay

jennyhoa - are you an international applicant?

Hi everyone!

I believe only international students are getting e-mail decisions. If you live in the USA, letters are being mailed out by the end of this week. Good luck!!

Collegekid2010: My SAT score is 2050 superscored (730M 640CR 680W) and 2010 single-sitting (690M). SAT IIs are 780 Math II and 670 Physics.

ahsanxr:
I got rejected with 2150 so the process does through up surprises be optimistic.

Yeah, but you’re an international and asked for aid, so that’s probably the reason. A LOT of pakistanis applied to Lafayette this year, had great stats and asked for aid. I, fortunately, am a citizen of the US, so that’s probably the only thing that saved me from getting totally rejected.

accepted with the marquis scholarship

No FA yet either…

Wow I got very lucky,
30 ACT
87 unweighted gpa (honors and ap classes)
no interview
just sports

My essay saved me I guess…

also no FA must have helped

The personalized acceptance letter from Lafayette was very impressive. My son received his acceptance today, with recognition of his school, academic program, and a mention of the theme of his essay.

CNP what state are you from? I am from California and I only got this teaser summer brochure from them.

cnp, I am a senior at Lafayette, and I remember the very personalized acceptance letter from the college. It’s wonderful!

We’re in Connecticut.

I bet the personalized letter helps their yield … it’s very impressive as compared to other schools’ boilerplate.

Sorry to be coming into this late-- Doug, I am not an international applicant. I believe only US citizens are eligible for the Marquis scholarship. I am very satisfied with their FA package although I’m not sure I would be a good fit, socially, at Lafayette. It’s good to have options, tho.

My letter wasn’t personalized… I guess my essay was forgettable. :frowning: I don’t blame them cuz I can’t even remember what I talked about now!
