@Timexie
CONG!

@ Aashishtheaasik:

My status kept unchanged as before…it only lists everything they received from me…
From the general acceptance letter and the personalized acceptance letter, I don’t think I have been offered any scholarship…I guess it is really rare for internationals to get scholarship…

btw…I’m from China and I am now studying in a high school in South Carolina…

@Expeliarmus:

I hope I am…but I haven’t seen anything like that in the letter…

@zhiyioakdal:

I know who u r!!
Thanks…Good luck on urs!!!

Does anyone know when they are going to mail out the letters?

Daughter hasn’t been notified yet as well. Got into RPI with substantial scholarships and aid (1410 sat) . But no word from Lafayette. Anyone know how much this Marquis Scholarship is?

I’m pretty sure Marquis is $20,000 per year

@Timexie…
haha…i didn’t hear from any colleges yet… mount holyoke…colby…bates…u of r…gettysburg…mac…it drives me crazy

@kaitlin01

I got one acceptance letter from Lafayette on March 16th by email…Admissions office said that mail would be received in 1 week.

Anyway, I got scholarship of $51200 out of $53200…But most probably I am not going to Lafayette since I already got “likely letter” from a IVY

@Samuel91
Wow… you must be a really strong applicant then…

@zhiyi:

Thanks collegebro and LC82, I also did manage to find that info at Lafayette’s web site. Looks like it could be a great deal if offered to you. How do you feel Lafayette is for engineering?

Got my acceptance email dated March 16th. FA offer was less than the offers of the schools I’ve already been accepted to, so most probably not going.

Congratulations Samuel! That’s a great package!

Did you get a scholarship, Katiln?

Lafayette’s engineering curriculum is first-rate. Not having a grad school allows for exclusive focus on undergrads. Faculty members teach all classes. About one quarter of the 2400 undergrads are engineering majors.

From the college’s website: “In 2010, 95% of Lafayette’s candidates (currently enrolled) passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Examination, the first step in obtaining a professional license. That compares to a 2010 national rate of 69% to 87% for various engineering disciplines.—National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying."
