Lafayette College RD Applicants and Decisions Thread

Well, the title says it. This is a thread for us RD applicants to discuss and post the decisions we got here! Best of luck people!

Oh come on ppl what are you waiting for! Well share with us a little about yourself and ur application to Lafayette!

I was wondering when did Lafayette announce their decisions for RD applicants last year?

They are normally supposed to come out within the mid to late March or early April… late of March is most probable…

Last year it was late March.

These letters are being sent out so late in ‘the game’ that we’ve pretty much given up on this school. Having heard good news from other schools long ago, it’s hard to take Lafayette too seriously at this point.

^^^^Lafayette sends out its decisions on the schedule that was very clearly set forth when you applied. I’m not sure what else one should expect.

ChesterMom- - What are you talking about? Lafayette has ED and ED2 for earlier decisions. RD for most colleges is late March/April 1. Don’t understand what you mean by letters being sent out “so late”.

Yes, I would agree, normally most colleges do send out decisions about this time!

The Lafayette website clearly states that regular decision admissions decisions will be released in “late March”. http://admissions.lafayette.edu/requirements-deadlines/admissions-deadlines/ Good luck to all who are waiting to hear.

Yes, Lafayette must send out ED1 and ED2 decisions prior to RD decisions, hence why other schools have already begun sending their letters out yet Lafayette is still in the process. The newest update from admissions is that RD letters should be sent out around March 20th (next week) for regular decision. Good luck to all who have applied!

20th… thats too soon >.< :’(

I received my acceptance today with a nice scholarship. Wish the best to all of you guys!

For people who have gotten in what are your stats?

D. received her acceptance in the mail today with a Marquis Scholarship (half-tuition/fees). Very glad to receive it.

Stats (since poster above asked): SAT: 2210 (V 800/M 630/W 780), GPA: 4.2 (weighted) and 3.9 (unweighted); pretty good ECs and some writing awards

@Christobal21 did you know it through portal, email, or mail? thanks.

Lafayette usually sends the Marquis scholarship acceptances a week or two before the rest of the regular acceptances. Both via snail mail. They send the best acceptance letter; very personalized.

@MollyN‌ I received it in the mail and it was dated March 13.

I got my acceptance letter today. I received the marquis scholarship. As far as stats go, I got a 32 act (34reading, 31 math, 34 english, 29 science) and my weighted gpa is 5.1 on a 6.0 scale and about 3.85 on a 4.0 scale and im in the IB diploma program at my school

Are we only able to know our results by snail mail? Is there an email that they send out as well???
