20LEGEND,

You will not receive a username or password to check the status of your application, as Lafayette does not maintain an online system for prospective students. Might you be referring to a letter confirming receipt of all required application materials? I'd strongly advise you to call the Admissions Office sometime during the week at (610) 330-5100 to see what's up.

Alright mate, thanks.

@candyman I called the office and asked them about my documents and they said that they still have not recieved my application but however they did recieve my school transcripts...I called up the courier service that I sent my application through and they said that they misplaced my package...However they assured me they would deliver the package within a couple of days...Will this diminsh my chances even hough I mailed my applications before the deadline?

tanveer149,

Provided your application was postmarked prior to the Jan. 1 deadline, admissions officers will give your application a full and fair review upon receipt of all required materials. They are particularly understanding when it comes to late submissions from international applicants, as the reliability of some int'l couriers is questionable at best. Simply put, your chances will not be affected.

My only concern is that your application may have been lost and not misplaced. If that is the case, you would have no choice but to resubmit all materials. Either way, there's no use in worrying since the situation is currently out of your hands.

Here's hoping that courier service can "deliver" on their assurance!
