Hello guys!! I'm an international student from Nigeria. I applied ED I to Lafayette ,and since I did,I've not been an peace. I can't wait till the decisions are out. Let's use this thread to keep ourselves actively waiting till ~Dec. 15
Please you can start by explaining how challenging it was for you to apply, how strong you think your application is(possibly hinting your SAT score,essay,ECs, Nationality...etc),and what you think your chances are....

Your inputs will be highly appreciated : I promise I'll give mine as soon as I see up to two from you guys(I don't want to be the loner) .Thanks!!!

@SmartBeast I also applied ED1. I think my application is strong.

Essay: super creative. Multiple cried while reading it. Its a really unique personal topic.

Hey @msltennis97 . Thanks.Can you DM me the website and your essay? And… anyone else? I’m surprised by the slow response considering Lafayette is a great school

@sixstringsrocker Yes. But there really should be something going on here for ED applicants. If I check Stanford’s CC page , I’m pretty sure something like this is already happening ! :)

@SmartBeast
Stanford received 42,167 applications last year, and has ~7000 undergrads total
Lafayette received 7859 applications, and has ~2400 students total

Yes. Lafayette has fewer applicants. But 7800+ applicants is not few,considering I want to be admitted. 50 applicants would have done it for me .haha! :)

If people want to post and compare stats here, that is fine, but in the end all anyone can do is wait for the decision from admissions. Good luck to all.

PS My D is a junior at Lafayette and absolutely loves the school.

I agree with you @happy1 . But I have said that mentioning your SAT score and other sensitive information can be optional.I just want a discussion from any direction for students applying! Thanks for the input . :)

@SmartBeast I wonder where all the other applicants are. I know I read almost all of the college confidential threads before and after I sent my application :-?

lol…I’m trying to connect your first statement with the second.Can you help with that? And…has anyone received an email (apart from the newsletter) from Lafayette since she/he sent in the application? I haven’t ,and it already feels like Lafayette has abandoned me :(

I figured all the other applicants would reach out to people on college confidential. I only got the news letter as well. Did anyone here do an interview?

@Shaldy I’m sure if they were here and serious about the school enough,they would have joined this thread.But,who knows… I didn’t do an interview. No branch in my country. Are you an international student or an American?

Should you be bothered? if you have already showed interest in other ways, I don’t think so .Like,say, visit the school .Why didn’t you do an interview? Can you give me a glimpse of your profile (you can omit your SAT score,G.P.A or anything “booky” related) ?
