Accepted!! 32-33 ACT, 3.99 unweighted gpa, 6 AP’s, many extra curriculars and leadership. Anyone know of an accepted students group chat?
DD wait listed and bummed because it’s her first choice. 1430 sat, 32 act, 4.0 uw GPA, 3 ap classes + 1 i.b. Captain of color guard and president of art club and environmental club. Not sure what happened… Thought these were solid credentials.
Son just received a big “Congratulations” package from Lafayette! We live just south of Boston, MA. Very exciting!

@Uscmama8 those are fantastic credentials-there are so many variables beyond their control that have no bearing on the strength of their application-demographics, gender, interests etc. It does not reflect on her merit at all. really there are just too many applicants. with those creds she will thrive at whatever school she lands at. good luck!

For anyone waitlisted but still interested in Lafayette, here are the stats from Common Data Set last year (2017-2018):
1708 applicants offered a spot on the waitlist
412 applicants accepted a spot on the waitlist
111 applicants from the waitlist admitted
So, approx 27% admit rate from the list, filling approx 1/7th of the total class last year
don’t know about scholarships yet. waiting for d to come home to open envelope though i’m sooo tempted!

This is all making me so nervous. I just went back up to school in CT, but whatever I get from Laf will be going back home to FL, so I have to wait a couple days. Congrats to everyone who got in so far!
