@interapp im currently in my gap year, been rejected by 15+ schools in a row… and in two years… it’s tough, all I have are ivies and I’m not sure of myself anymore
@greeneandh From what I can see you had a very aggressive list of schools given your academic stats (27 ACT). And you have one excellent acceptance. Barring an Ivy acceptance, is time to embrace the school that has embraced you!!

I’m on my Gap Year too. Despite getting 8 waitlists last year I have a combined 31 rejections in 2 years (most of them because I’m an international student asking for hefty aid.)
I’ve only got one waitlist this year, and only four decisions remain
Also last year I applied to schools a little more my range and was rejected, I don’t even know if it’s my scores anymore lol
so have international students gotten e mails?
Have all decisions for Lafayette came out? I have not recieved mine yet
S also wait listed. Mechanical engineering. 4.0 UW, 4.73 W, 33 ACT. Varsity captain and multiple sports as well as musical theater and other ECs. Science Olympiad accomplishments and multiple honor societies too. Just don’t quite understand the decision to wait list. I guess It will always be a mystery!

Mine didn’t come. Pretty disappointed lol. I’d rather know if I was rejected or accepted than being stuck in purgatory haha.
What about the international applicants? I am waiting on pins and needles. It is the last hope.

@interapp no worries, you’ll come back stronger! still waiting for mine, but I’m pretty sure I’ll get rejected too. After Lafayette, I only have Vassar, NYU, and Princeton left. With the way things have been going, I’m pretty sure I know how the rest are going to turn out.

@interapp " being international asking for full ride plays a huge role against us" You’re pefectly right. They only accept you when they can give you aid , since they are need-aware.

also guys, apply to Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia too. I feel like it has been exceptionally crappy this time around for us internationals, and we have to remember that great schools don’t only exist in the US. I’ll apply to other countries in my gap year including US.
