that’s nice to hear. but these awards seem to be very few and very competitive; I guess that
For which major you guys have applied ?
Mine, it is Computer science.
Have you guys received your admission decisions?
Not yet here in NY. I haven’t gotten an email and my account on the website doesn’t say anything. I’d say you should probably call the admissions office on Monday, that’s what I’m gonna do. Hope you get in!
@bipulpro I’m from Nepal too. My seniors who got into Lafayette said that the ED notification will be sent on Monday or Tuesday most probably for our timezone. Which high school are you from?
I am fro Nist. What about you? @PiyaK1
@bipulpro I applied for Mechanical engineering. Does the major affect the chance of acceptance?
Well, Lafayette is famous for its engineering studies. So, I guess it’s pretty competitive to get in for the engineering major.
Many schools purposely delay sending emails and updating the portal so that domestic applicants FIRST enjoy opening the physical package they receive by regular mail. It’s more fun that way.
Merit aid for international students is very competitive for schools like Lafayette. Makes sense since there are only so many spots to fill.
I’ve applied for need based.

I’m completely unaware about its physics program.
@Apahadi73 Not only me there’re like hundreds of applicants from Nepal itself.
