lake forest

hii has anyone heard of lake forest college? i got accepted and got a presidential scolarhsip to it yesterday and i was so excited until everybody started ssayingg theyve never heard of it... im not basing my judgment based on their reaction but i am curious to know if i should be proud of myself for getting in or can anybody get into lake forest?
i appreciate ur thoughts

It's a good school, known in the midwest. It's a beautiful campus, lots of $$ there.

Lake Forest is a very good college outside of Chicago. Congratulations on your acceptance & Presidential Scholarship.

Many people have not heard of LACs. I wouldn't put stock in it. Since you applied to Lake Forest, I'd say you know better about how the college fits you. If you would be happy at LF, then it is a great college choice.

:)

BTW: Many people on the West Coast have not heard of Grinnell, Beloit, Wesleyan, Earlham, Oberlin, Kenyon, Davidson, Knox, Lawrence, Skidmore, St. John's (NM), Goucher, Hendrix, Trinity, Haverford, St. Lawrence, Hampshire, and Gettysburg to name JUST a few.

Congratulations on your acceptance! Be very proud of yourself and celebrate the great news. Don't worry about what people say to you. People can be cruel when the green eyed monster visits.

Very good rep at my S prep school. The have sent quite a few there in the past 6 years or so. Good rep for FA, and fairly decent mens soccer team from what I understand.

it depends on what you want out of your college experience. if you think lake forest offers what you are looking for then who cares what others think. it is a good school and you should be proud for getting in with a presidential scholarship.
