I recently got accepted into Lakeside for 9th grade this fall 2021. I got a $28k scholarship. I am waiting for my admission decision from Phillips Exeter and Phillips Andover.
I just wanted to share the news. I am so happy right now! However, my parents cried and are trying to convince me not to attend.
Good job to anyone else who got accepted into Lakeside.
And good luck to anyone else who applied to PEA or PA!
Thanks! I would have to say my top school is Exeter. But honestly, I love all the schools I applied to. Lakeside is my top choice at the moment because not only did I get in, but I also got a lot of money from the school. My uncle went to Andover, so I sorta feel an obligation to go there if I do get in. But I can’t go to PEA or PA even if I get accepted but don’t get financial aid or a scholarship.
I got REALLY good teacher recommendations I think. My home room teacher said that I was his best student in his entire 20 years of teachings, and my English teacher said that I could pass a college English class with ease.

Overall, I really didn’t have the best extracurriculars. The main thing that got me in was my grades, teacher rec., and also because I built a SUPER close relationship with my interviewer.
I am really happy to have gotten accepted! But I really want to attend a boarding school in New England since I lived there for 4 years and loved it! But I’m happy that I got accepted into Lakeside with a pretty large grant.
Got it. Well, good luck! I hope we can both get in!
If you don’t mind telling me, but what are your stats? Also, do you love in WA too? I’m just wondering bc I don’t know anyone else applying to the schools I am applying to who is from WA.
congrats on getting accepted by Lakeside. Seattle weather is a little gloomy as you may already know, but it’s nice and cozy during summer time. also, good luck on Exeter and Andover! tell us more when you have the news for these two schools too.
Thanks! I was really excited to get into Lakeside. I was also surprised bc I don’t live in the Seattle area (I would move if I did attend) and also since I am technically a home schooler. The homeschool students they accept is roughly 1-2% of all the student they accept from their applicant pool.
