Lakeside West

If anyone lives in Lakeside West could you check the max height of the beds for me? I am thinking of sending an extra chest but want to be sure it will fit under the bed. I did check the UA housing and it seems that all the dorms offer height adjustable beds but some seem to go higher than others. Thanks!!

I have a son there, but I don’t think he has a measuring device.

If the chest is “desk height,” then it should fit underneath.

he has a measuring device. he has 8.5x11 pieces of paper!! that is my goto measuring device in a pinch!

: )

LOL…

Yes…

Anyway…to get the best answer, I think the person should call Housing and ask how tall the chest is that comes with the room. That one just fits.

The dresser is 30" tall and supposed to fit under the bed. The desk is slightly shorter. However, your child may prefer to have their bed lower. I like my bed higher, but the max height was too high for my liking. I’d suggest a couple laundry baskets or storage bins instead if they wanted their bed lower and needed storage space.

How adjustable are the beds? Are they like a shelving unit with adjustments every so many inches or just one or two pre-set heights?

I think there are 4 - 5 presets. You can kind of see on this website. However, imagine that the highest presets are the the brackets at the top of the posts (with the bed sitting higher than that).

On this link, scroll all the way down until you get to where you can change the images of the bedrooms. Then go to the image where there is a bare bed and desk.

Look at the posts, see at the top their is a notch, that is the top bracket. In that pic, the bed is not at its highest.

We did measure during Bama Bound last June. It’s about 32-33 inches lofted. You can fit the drawer underneath, but my son left his together with his desk. Instead, he got some plastic drawers to stack and keep his off-season clothing, linens, etc. in them.
