I'm a bit of a noob in the college theater world, but I might be taking a study abroad term at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

How well-known is this school?
Is it looked upon favorably by other theater professors in America?
What is its reputation?

Are you at BU? They have an exchange program with LAMDA.
LAMDA is an absolutely stellar program. S went to Florida State undergrad- BA theatre.
He will attend LAMDA’s 2 year post graduate acting program in the fall. 4000 applicants from around the world- 24 spots. Very, very competitive. He had to fly over twice for recall auditions which took all day and were VERY intense. All of the students in the 2 year program have previous professional credits. The 3 year program is more of an undergraduate experience. My guess is you’d be working with them although they share a few classes with the 2 years.
If you have an opportunity to study there do it if you can afford to.
Remarkable opportunity. Famous alumni include Stacy Keach, John Lithgow, Swoozie Kurtz etc. There is probably no better theatre city in the world than London.
And the amazing thing is a seat for a student at the National Theatre costs less than a movie ticket.
