LAME! I'm taking the SAT again, in COLLEGE.

I graduated a year early and headed off to college this fall, but I was still eligible to be in this year's National Merit competition. Needless to say, I didn't take the New SAT because the Class of 2005 didn't need to. And I didn't take the SAT II for writing, because I didn't need to take it for the University of Missouri. (I knew I wanted to go here because it's arguably the best journalism school in the country.)

Long and short of this meandering complaint is that...DAMN. I have to take the New SAT. And I'm IN COLLEGE. Otherwise, I'm not eligible to advance to finalist status.

How goofy is that?

Very goofy. Just don't tell anyone where your going that Saturday.

Isn't National Merit only open to third-year students who aren't graduating or something?

Anyway, Mike - the author of Grammatix's guide - and private tutors take the SAT as adults. That's even sadder.

Haha! Just imagine sitting in a room as an adult with a ton of teengagers taking the stupid SAT! lol

He's the same age obviously...just a year ahead.
