Landscape Architecture: Cal Poly SLO or UC Davis?

I was accepted to both Cal Poly SLO and UC Davis as a landscape architecture major. I would love some insight as to which program is preferable. I’ve only a little over a week to decide and am very nervous! I was also accepted to University of Oregon, Colorado State University, and Cal Poly Pomona for the same major. Any information regarding those schools would be much appreciated as well!

I’m pretty sure the Cal Poly Landscape Architecture major was ranked 3rd in the nation this year by Design Intelligence. Don’t know much more than that… Good Luck.

SLO all the way.

Thanks for the replies! Any other info?

I was accepted to both of those schools for LA as well! One thing I would check if you are thinking about UC Davis is whether you got into Landscape Architecture or “Pre-Landscape Architecture.” If you are pre-LA I have heard you need to submit multiple portfolios to actually get into the program and that it is very competitive. So even if you got into UCD it might be hard to get into the actual program. Another side note, UCD is a four-year program while Cal Poly is a five-year program.
Hope this helps!
