i haven’t met a lot of landscape architecture students. i realized that is because the major is very limited and will only accept a maximum of 38 students into the major from each year level. i am interested in majoring lda but because of it’s limited space, i’m worried i won’t get in and wasted time for taking those lda classes while i could have done something else. does anyone know if it is very competitive to get in? are there a lot of people working towards getting into the lda program? i am also a managerial economics major so time is very valuable right now to squish in two majors.

my friend is an LDA major. She just found out that she got accepted into the major I think in her second year around the winter or spring quarter (I'm not sure when, but she's a 3rd year now). There were some people that she knew that didn't get into the major and were kind of screwed...but other than that, I recommend just going to the advisor and talking with them.

does anyone know the chance of getting into design(interior)?
cus i know that you have to take at least one design course in order to declare design as your major but the design courses are only restricted to people that already declared as design majors during pass one and it's almost impossible to sign up for a design class because the department is so small.
