Is it a good idea to take both AP Language and Literature?

I'll be taking Calc AB--don't have time to study for BC--, US Gov't, and Biology.

Have anyone take 2 English exams before? How do you study for them besides writing essays and reading books? Is it hard to get 4 on them, especially when English is your weakness?

I think that the Language exam is mainly writing and analysis of writing (requiring a good book of passages), which is not as hard as Literature (which involves knowing detailed information of a long list of books).

Actually, for Literature, you don't need to know any specific books, you just need to know one or two "classics" well (i.e. The Great Gatsby and Their Eyes Were Watching God or something to that effect). I have heard that Language is easier, though.

I don't think there will be a problem taking both. They cover different things, but it's definitely not something to worry about.

I have yet to figure out how to "study" for an AP English test besides the afore mentioned and a review of MC strategies, literary terms, and some very helpful tips on writing the essays- this, i think, shouldn't take longer than a few weeks.

However, how big of a weakness is it? Is it "i feel like i shouldn't have taken this class" or "I feel a little uncertain"?

I think you can handle it...I also agree with what nonsequitured said.

I'm profoundly deaf, so English is my weakest subject. I feel uncertain about taking English exams. However, I think it would be beneficial for me to get an AP credit in English than taking an English class at college.

If you've taken one class, then take the other exam too, particularly if that class is APLit. While the two tests do pull from different disciplines of English, neither is exceptionally difficult.
