Language Class

Hey there,

I'm having trouble with a decision. I'm a sophomore going into my junior year and I really hate my French class. I don't like the other kids, I hate the teacher too. She doesn't teach us anything and tests us and we all do poorly. I don't want to take French anymore after the bad experiences I've had. I realize that many colleges recommend 3 years of foreign language, however, I took the equivalent of French 1 in middle school, so does 3 years mean up until French 3? In that case, I should be covered. I would like to drop French to take classes that interest me more next year, and things relating to my major (biomedical engineering). If I have to take a language though, I'm going to take Spanish.
Any advice?

yes, they care about level only.

It doesn’t look good to switch languages, so unless you really want to take Spanish, it’s probably best to take that biomedical engineering course (that is if you’re set upon quitting).
