<p>i was thinking about taking a elementary language class, either chinese or korean. i speak a little bit of cantonese and i know the chinese classes are taught mandarin.</p>
<p>so 5 units? 5 hours a week, is it really hard and a lot of work?</p>
<p>The rela hard part about Chinese class is the character work. You have to master a lot of characters very quickly.</p>
<p>chinese is much harder than I thought. Speaking it is hard because of all the tones. I think it takes a lot of work to get a good grade unless you already have some mandarin background.</p>
