<p>What is a good language that might be useful in the legal/government spheres and is relatively easy? I’ve taken minimal Latin. I remember almost nothing. I’m not trying get out of work, but I’m not really passionate about languages. Perhaps that will change.</p>
<p>just a fellow '13er here, so I don’t know about the level of difficulty of language classes at Columbia.</p>
<p>Fastfood, if you have some grasp of Latin, then French shouldn’t be too hard. French grammar pales in comparison to Latin grammar. And I believe most documentation done in the UN is in French.</p>
