I’ve already gotten in but i havent take any satiis for language. Should i take the satii anyway so i can be placed in the right class, or wait for placement tests though i may forget some stuff?

You could always take satiis and see how you do and then take the placement test to see if you test higher. If you don't, they'd probably put you in the satii level class anyway.

SAT2s is used by some departments as the placement exam......just a heads up.

i figure that you might as well take the sat 2 to see if you can get a 650 and place out...why not?

It's a good idea to take it and do well, so you can pass some language requirements.

What is the language requirement at Penn anyway?

knows11: its retarded. and i also believe its 4 years for anyone who hasnt taken a language yet. if you have taken a language, then its just... whatever you get placed into. you have to take a placement test given by Penn, theres one online for spanish/french, or you can take the SAT2s and be placed according to your score.

whoot I'm exempt from taking spanish. 650 seems rather low to be exempt from all of the courses....

I personally think it's a disadvantage to think of the language as a "requirement"... I just chose to take another language and it's been a lot of fun

yeah I'll still end up taking a spanish class

I'm pretty sure it's not four years. I think it's four semesters. Two if you can take an accelerated course.
