Language placement

After I take my AP Spanish I figure to place out of an intermediate Spanish course. What would be the next class that I would most likely be placed into; 212? 215? Is the online language placement exam straight forward?

I'm concerned that I may be placed into too difficult of a course since my expertise is OK but nothing special.

Thanks to all

Where is all the info on placement exams in general?

most people who have taken 4 high school years of spanish start out in spanish 212. i started out in 212 after taking regular spanish all through high school (no AP or honors) and thought it was a little challenging. see where the placement test puts you, and if you feel confident, you could definitely start off in 215, some freshmen do that..

Are there placement exams for languages like Hebrew?

i think for languages like Hebrew and other languages that aren't as commonly taken you talk to the head of the department and they place you in classes

Thanks, Falloutgirl. Looks as if my son should contact the school and get info when he gets back home at the end of the month.

ii also know many ppl like myself who started in 202. if ur interested in a minor/major in spanish it might not be samrt but otherwise 202 is ok too. it startts out pretty easy but it still isnt a joke class
