<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>I'm planning on studying linguistics and foreign languages in college and getting a job in that field. I currently speak 3 languages fluently and I feel that I am competent in 4 more, in that I can converse in that language, read, and write it.
When the app asks what languages I am proficient in, should I put all 7? And will this help me get into a better school? I heard that colleges only care about your languages if you're an international student. But since I'm planning on studying it in college, will it play a big role?</p>

<p>It certainly wouldn’t hurt to put that you know 7 languages.</p>

<p>Knowing lots of foreign languages will help domestic applicants, as most domestic applicants are only partially proficient in one language other than English.</p>
