Language Question (Barrons, etc.)

Rather than ask a drawn-out question, I'll explain my situation...

In high school, I am currently wrapping up Chinese 300, but I am absolutely abysmal at it and do not wish to continue in college. However, I am interested in starting and taking 2-3 years of another language at Wisconsin. So, WITHOUT taking a placement exam, does this qualify me for Wisconsin's GER requirements under the 3 and 2?

Thanks.

The reason to take a placement exam is to determine which course to take at UW, therefore, if you do not intend to take any more courses in that language there is no need to take the placement test in it. Of course, everyone "gets" (has) to take the math and English tests, but most will not take the language ones. So, relax but try your best for the rest of the school year.
