language SAT II - worth taking as a native speaker?

Is there any point in taking language test if you are a native speaker? Would colleges find it stupid, or would they see it as you are proficient in your native language?

Depends. Some say that if you speak it natively, colleges won't care a whole lot -- obviously you'd get an 800. But a few things to consider:

Is it obvious that you're of that origin? Is your last name Chang and you want to take the Chinese SAT II? Does it show in your ECs? If so, I'd take it only if it wouldn't conflict with anything else -- e.g. not taking math IIC.

But if it doesn't show and you can fit it in, then go for it. Be sure that you'd do well in it, though.

i point of view.. why not?
since we had to speak it instead of practicing English, we should at least get some credit for it, no?

what if your'e an international student that speaks a certain language in his COUNTRY, every day?? I live in Israel so an 800 in Hebrew will be very easy... I took the French test and scored 570. Should I retake French or is the 800 on Hebrew good enough? I'm aiming for very selective universities...
