Language tables?

<p>Does Brandeis have language tables in the dining halls, eg., French speakers get together every Wednesday? I can’t find anything on the website.</p>

<p>They did when I was there (a million years ago).
They also had an “economics table” and a “politics table”, etc.</p>

<p>I don’t think they still have official language tables…but who’s to say you can’t start one? I hear people in the dining hall (my friends and I included) speaking in French, Hebrew, Arabic, etc. all the time…sometimes there are two languages going on at one table. Also, BUGS (the organized group study system) is a good way to find people at your level with whom you can converse/practice.</p>

<p>They definitely have these semi-regularly for a couple of foreign languages. I know hat the German department has coffee and cake every 2 weeks or so, and I’ve definitely seen signs or listings for French and Italian tables. I don’t know how regular those are and to what extent they actually happen, but it definitely exists.
