Has anyone yet taken the language placement tests online? Are they very hard?

I took the Spanish placement test on paper during orientation back in the day when we used those wooden things to write with. The scores came out the following Monday on a huge spreadsheet and I noticed 90% of the people had failed (ie did not get the 56 or whatever was required to place into Spanish 209). That was when I knew it was time to prepare for 4 years of hell.

first year language classes take the language placement test at the end of their 2nd elementary semester, more than half do not place into 209...

i think a good amount place into 209, if they had paid attention. It's actually easier to place into it when u've taken 2 semesters of the language. I got in and I am really bad at languages.

And yes coming out from high school languages, the placement test will be hard. But try it anyway and see how you do. You only need over a 55 to place into 209

the language exam does have some really difficult parts. The point isn't to get a perfect score, it's to place you where your knowledge is.

thank you gomestar...and we're here to assume that most of us here are the average student...but looks like some like to think just because they pwn everyone else should pwn >_>
