How difficult are the beginner language classes, say, for Latin? Or the intermediate courses for Spanish?

Probably what the course names imply: beginning Latin would be an intro course that introduces you to the language and builds a foundation of knowledge. Intermediate classes are going to be taught at a higher level since you should already have some knowledge of the language. In my experience, ND language courses are not ridiculously difficult, unless you decide not to pay attention in class or do your homework. Also, many of the language professors are some of the best I’ve had at ND. They were all funny, engaging, and truly cared about their students. I’m still in contact with some of them, even though I"m no longer taking their classes.
