I am very worried about taking language classes in High School for electives because most colleges require like 2-4 years of a foregin language. But does it matter if I am already Bilingual? I need help pleaseee!

It’s good that you’re bilingual, but what’s not good is not taking any foreign language in high school, especially, if you’re “scared” of them. Foreign languages are nothing to be worried about. You can strengthen your knowledge of your second language or you can learn a new one entirely. Jump in. Take that class. Learn about a language.

Its not that I am scared of taking those classes, I scared about not doing enough years of the language, and how it’ll affect me when I apply for colleges and my chances of getting into them.

1 is better than none, I don’t see how taking it would hurt.

Colleges won’t chastise you for taking 3+ years of foreign language. I personally would advise you against taking just 2 years of a language, it would put at a disadvantage against other applicants.

True, but colleges require different amounts, and some more than others, and Im worried that by only taking so many will later affect me when I have finally found a college that I am going for, but they want a certain amount of years…

That was my original idea, but then I was looking at some colleges that I was interested in and they said d 3 or 4. But that idea still sounds good, thanks!
