<p>assuming i get into michigan (which is no guarentee, but hypothetically), is language required?...because i took french from 6th grade to 10th and did well (A average, 100% on profeciency exam and 96% on regents), however, i felt that i was not prepared for french 4 so i did not continue (my teacher did a bad job with grammar which was not tested on the previous tests but would be needed in the next level of french)....and so i took both french and latin in 10th and continued this year and will take it next year as well...i'm doing well in latin (A+ and gold medal on national latin exam), but have NO intention on continuing latin in college.....</p>

<p>so basically, will i have to take a language course at michigan and if i do, can i take an easy level spanish? or something like that</p>

<p>LSA has a 4 sem language requirement but you can place out of it during a test given at orientation. It's not very hard to place out of a language if you've had 3+ years of experience. Looking at your background, it seems like you'll have a good chance.</p>
